Choir Coat of Arms

The Choir Coat of Arms features a shield divided into four quarters. The quarters represent the symbols of different parts of the Choir community.
The upper right and lower left quarters of the shield feature the Harp of St. Cecilia, a reference to the patroness and the Choir itself. In the lower right is the lion rampant, symbolizing the Board of Directors and their Loyalty. In the upper left are the keys of St. Peter, Representing the management of the choir done according to the Catholic Church regulations and the Choir's pride of being a catholic organization.

Surrounding the shield is a cloudy blue circular stripe, inscribed with “S. Caeciliae Chorus Sancti Sebastiani Ecclesiae” (St. Cecilia's Choir of St. Sebastian's Church). Above the shield is a highly decorated 'fleur de lis', representing the Holy Trinity. A lion, representing Languages, stands on the “Dexter” (right-hand) side. Another lion, representing Melodies, stands on the “Sinister” (left-hand) side.


The two lions stand upon a mountain top. Also along the compartment is the motto of The Choir: “Deo per canticum” (To God through Song).

Board of Directors

Coat of Arms of the B.O.D features a shield with three partitions. The upper right corner shows the harp representing the St. Cecilia's Choir. The upper left coner features the lion rampant, symbolizing their Loyalty. The three white roses, also known as yorkshire roses represent purity. The shield is surronded by decorated elements with a compartment of the motto of The Board: “Fidelissime Serviamus” (Let us serve faithfully).
